Sketching the harakeke
Room 8 has been practising sketching using whisper, talk and shout. We were sketching the harakeke plant behind the PE shed. Here are some photos of Room 8 sketching.

Our famous Year 3's
Today Grace brought in the Franklin County News to show us the picture and article about the kumara harvest that the Year 3's did last week with Mrs Tate.Miss Bolton took photos of the article so we could put it on the blog.

Stomp clip
Cameron found a stomp clip on youtube. He shared it with the class for news. Cameron was looking for stomp clips because he heard about the stomp group that Whaea Lois is taking and thought it was cool.
Harvesting the kumara
Today Mrs Tate took the kids from her class last year out to harvest the kumara and garlic.
First they listened carefully to Mrs Tate and Graeme. Then they started to harvest the garlic. The kids put all of the garlic in a bucket.
After that they started harvesting the kumara. The kumara were placed into piles. There were heaps of kumara - about 78 were counted!
Last of all the kumara were put into a box.
Natalie from the Franklin News came to see our harvest and she took photos of us too.

Our Computer time
On Wednesday the 6th we have been doing an avatar for our wiki pages, and here are some people working.
