Stop, look and listen!

Ronald McDonald came to Paerata School this morning.  The junior school got to see the show, and Alaska, Luke and Mrs Tate had special jobs.  Brenda, from McDonalds Pukekohe, was there to help Ronald too.

First Ronald came into the room and searched for the juniors but he couldn't find us!  He turned around and found us - we were in the middle of the room!

Ronald set up his show, but it kept falling down!  Then Mrs Tate magically appeared - she had shrunk down into Ronald's hand.  When we counted to 3, Mrs Tate grew back to normal size!  She started reading a story about Ronald McDonald and his missing sock.  It was very funny.

Ronald McDonald came to talk to us about road safety.  We learned about keeping away from the kern and the road, to stop, look and listen for any cars or traffic and when you come to a driveway you need to stop and check if it is safe to cross it.

Ronald asked Alaska to help explain how to cross the road safely with the Road Patrollers.

Cameron helped Ronald show us how to walk safely on roads with no footpath.

Luke filmed the show on the iPad so we can watch it again!

We all had a fun time learning about road safety with Ronald McDonald!

London Olympics

We have been watching some of the London Olympic Games in class.  When we've finished our tasks we can watch the Games.
Aloysius is cheering on a weightlifter.

We have been watching them through the iSky.co.nz website.

What has been your favorite part of the Olympics so far?
