Worm Farms

Today our school worm farms got up and running!  4000 worms are now living in our worm farms.  If we feed them properly and look after them, they will make us some worm tea - which is fantastic fertiliser for our gardens.

Here are some photos of Whaea Lois blessing the worm farms.

Cody and Malik are getting reading to add the worms to the worm farm.

Commenting on blogs

Miss Bolton would like to send out a reminder about blog comments.

It is very important that your comment is about the post you have read/watched.  If the post is a photo of the playground, you should not leave a comment about work we did in class!

If your comment is not about the post, Miss Bolton will not publish it.

REMEMBER TO USE THE BLOG COMMENT CARDS!  If you follow the cards you will write an awesome comment (they are on the orange table).

**Also, please use punctuation - I know that you can use full-stops and capital letters!! :)

Transport video

Miss Bolton found this clip on Youtube.  It is an old clip from 1946, and it is about how transport has changed.

Watch the clip.  Has transport changed since the end of this clip?  How long does it take to go around the work in an aeroplane today?

Year 3 and 4 Soccer Tournament

Last Thursday 14 students from our class took part in the Franklin Year 3 and 4 soccer tournament at the Pukekohe A&P Showgrounds.  We entered a boys team and a mixed team.

All the students who went to soccer showed great sportsmanship.  Everyone was very impressed!

The boys came second in their Grade (Boys B grade - section 2).
